Full-time | Permanent | Bella Vista, NSW (Hybrid available)

We’re excited to introduce the newly created role of Community Engagement Officer, designed to strengthen our connections with the community, increase awareness of our services, and build lasting relationships with clients, families, and partner organisations.

About the Role

Reporting to the Area Manager Care Finder & Community Engagement, you will design and deliver strategies that grow awareness and trust in our services, ensuring Care Connect remains responsive to the needs of the community.

You will:

  • Build and strengthen community and stakeholder relationships

  • Support business development and partnership opportunities

  • Plan, promote and deliver engagement events and activities

  • Collaborate with internal teams to align outreach with Care Connect’s brand, values and services

  • Evaluate and report on engagement activities to ensure inclusivity and responsiveness to diverse community needs


About You

You are a natural connector with strong communication skills and a passion for engaging with communities. You bring both creativity and structure to outreach, with the ability to build trust and foster collaboration.

You will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Community Development, PR/Communications, Social Work, Health Promotion, Marketing (with community focus), Aged Care or related Health Sciences

  • IAP2 Certificate of Engagement (highly regarded)

  • Experience in community engagement, outreach or stakeholder relations

  • Strong knowledge of the aged care journey, including CHSP, Home Care Packages and residential care

  • Experience working with CALD groups, complex clients and interpreters

  • Excellent presentation skills (in person and virtually)

  • High level of emotional intelligence and ability to evaluate engagement outcomes

  • Current driver’s licence, reliable car and willingness to travel interstate

To be considered for this role you must have full Australian working rights, current Police & Working With Children Checks – we can arrange police checks for successful candidates. Our selection process also includes psychometric assessment.
