At Care Connect, we’re passionate about supporting people to live independently at home. As a not-for-profit industry leader, our collaborative and talented team enhances lives every day — and you can be part of it.

We’re seeking an experienced WHS Specialist to join our People & Culture team. This role plays a critical part in fostering a strong, proactive safety culture across a diverse workforce, including employees delivering care and services in client homes and across the community.

You’ll partner with leaders and teams to provide expert advice, lead key initiatives, and deliver practical, fit-for-purpose solutions that keep our people safe and supported — wherever they work.

What You’ll Do

  • Champion a proactive approach to injury prevention, safety, and wellbeing
  • Provide practical WHS guidance to both office-based and field teams
  • Develop, implement and continuously improve WHS policies, procedures and tools
  • Lead workplace inspections, audits and incident investigations
  • Monitor legislative changes and ensure ongoing compliance
  • Deliver engaging WHS training, education and resources
  • Manage workers’ compensation claims and return-to-work plans
  • Contribute to and lead WHS and People & Culture initiatives and projects

About You

  • Relevant WHS qualifications and demonstrated hands-on experience
  • Proven ability to support a distributed, field-based workforce
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach to safety and risk management
  • Experience in health, aged care or community services highly regarded
  • Tech-savvy, with intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • A genuine passion for wellbeing and positive workplace culture

You’ll also need Australian working rights, a Working with Children Check and a current Police Check (we can support you with this). Psychometric assessment forms part of the recruitment process.

What’s in it for You?

  • A competitive salary
  • Salary packaging benefits to maximise your take-home pay
  • Flexible, hybrid working options and a supportive team culture
  • Career development opportunities and ongoing training
  • Wellbeing benefits including EAP, discounted health insurance and wellness products
